U.S. Department of Education
The Guild is a recipient of the prestigious U.S. Department of Education Arts Education Model Development and Dissemination (AEMDD) grant. This research-driven funding provides $1 million over four years for work in documenting and analyzing the impact of opera-based learning on student development. As the only opera-based institution to ever receive this funding, AEMDD provides a key opportunity for the Met, the Guild, and the opera genre to contribute to the advancement of arts education on a national scale.

Research-Based Practices
As part of our commitment to ongoing learning, the Guild engages action-research methodology in much of its programming. Guild Artists and Partnering Teachers regularly use inquiry and reflection to analyze and inform their work. Ongoing data collection and analysis enables us to capture, apply, and share our learning amongst ourselves and each other.
