Spring Open House

The Metropolitan Opera and Mythik Camps are joining forces to present this season’s Spring Open House prior to the May 19 performance of Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice. Designed as an immersive quest experience, this event invites young operagoers and families to explore the extraordinary tale of Orpheus and Euridice by discovering clues, completing missions, and participating in mythology-inspired activity stations around the opera house led by members of the Met’s backstage and artistic staff and Mythik Camps teaching artists. From scavenger hunts and secret codes to a life-sized labyrinth challenge, this quest is not to be missed!

The Spring Open House begins at 1PM and is free for all ticket holders to the 3PM performance of Orfeo ed Euridice on May 19. Following the show, stick around for a special onstage Q&A with Anthony Roth Costanzo (Orfeo), Ying Fang (Euridice), and Elena Villalón (Amore) featuring questions submitted by Open House attendees. The opera lasts 1 hour and 40 minutes with no intermission.
