No city in the world reflects the history of man’s endeavours quite as much as Rome. It is hard to stand anywhere and not be taken aback by the magnitude of her history. The entire city comprises an immense open-air museum, with incredibly rich layers documenting the finest achievements in Western culture spanning three millennia. Walk any street and you will find a statue, a fountain, part of an ancient wall, or piazza - this is the essence of the Eternal City. We will enjoy luxurious accommodations in a superb location at the epic St. Regis Grand. In addition to private city touring with our superb guides, we will attend a performance (TBA) at Teatro dell'Opera.

The Amalfi Coast is as close to heaven on earth as it gets. We will spend three nights in beautiful Ravello, enjoying breathtaking views from our opulent and legendary hilltop hotel, the Caruso. Here we will enjoy a memorable chamber concert on the grounds of the Villa Rufolu, with the stage positioned such that the ocean and sky will be our backdrop.

We move on to our final destination, Naples, capital of Campania and one of the oldest cities in the world. It was a major city in Magna Graecia before imbuing the Roman Empire with its Greek influence. Its historic core is the largest in Europe. Here, we attend our second operatic performance at Teatro di San Carlo. Goethe once remarked that Naples is a city “wedged between God and Satan”, but it has clearly been on the rise in the past decade. Many restorations, revitalizations and reclamations are making it a must-see Italian destination today, and we look forward to our stay at the luxurious Grand Hotel Vesuvio, in the most appealing waterfront location in the city, across from the Castel dell’Ovo.
