The Metropolitan Opera Guild is proud to collaborate with the Music Academy of the West to offer this wonderful new initiative. Our program will encompass cultural attractions in the area, as well as the offerings of the Music Academy’s robust programming. From the private tour of Lotus Land, a magical thirty-seven acre botanical garden, to two concerts, a master class, and a vocal competition, there will be activities to spare, as well as ample time for relaxation or independent explorations of the area.

During our stay, we will enjoy the luxurious accommodations of the Biltmore Four Season Resort and savor some of the best local cuisine, including a roof-top, multi-course dinner and wine pairings at the Canary Hotel in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara with legendary mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne. Also, by special invitation, the president of the Music Academy of the West, Scott Reed, will host a farewell party on the eve of our departure at his spacious Academy home.

This unique tour, designed for novices and seasoned opera enthusiasts alike, is not to be missed!
