Rediscovered Art: Countertenors Presented by Gary Thor Wedow
Sunday, April 7, 4:00-5:30 PM
In the Baroque era, castrati were the undisputed stars of the operatic stage. Their fame began to wane quickly in the late 18th century, but the music they sang has reawakened interest and enthusiasm from modern audiences with the rise of the art of countertenors. Baroque specialist and conductor Gary Thor Wedow explores the countertenor repertoire and works with singers to master its nuances and challenges.

Please note that Student prices are available to full-time students with valid ID.
