Tchaikovsky’s operatic adaptation of Alexander Pushkin’s verse novel retains much of the original’s poetry, set to a lushly romantic score. Join Harlow Robinson as he delves into this classic tale of love, loss, and regret and illuminates the musical devices Tchaikovsky uses to express emotions and story.
